In view of the growing evidence that Type 2 diabetes drug Actos causes bladder cancer, Americans must be wondering: Has an Actos recall been made?In truth, no Actos recall is in effect yet. But that doesn’t mean an Actos recall won’t be made sometime in the future, perhaps as a federally ordered Actos recall made by the Food and Drug Administration, or as a voluntary Actos recall made by its manufacturer, Japan’s largest drug company, Takeda Pharmaceuticals.

Actos Recall

Though an Actos recall hasn’t been issued yet for America, an Actos recall has been done for France and Germany. In both countries, no new Actos prescriptions can be issued, and in France, a full-fledged Actos recall is in effect for all users. This Actos recall concerns not just Actos, but its active ingredient, pioglitazone hydrochloride.

Why has such an Actos recall not yet been made for America? You’d have to ask the FDA, which so far has warned Americans of Actos side effects dangers in the form of bladder cancer, and has monitored studies of Actos bladder cancer side effects.

Yet so far no FDA Actos recall has been issued to protect innocent Americans from the defective drug.

Defective Drug, Actos Recall

It’s understandable, in a way, that Takeda hasn’t issued an Actos recall either. After all, Takeda is reaping huge profits by selling its defective drug Actos, which is reportedly its top-selling drug. In fact, in fiscal year 2011, it’s believed Actos had sales of $4.8 billion for Takeda.

It would be surprising if a Takeda Actos recall came. And if there is a Takeda-ordered Actos recall, it might be based on a belated directive from the FDA.

Actos Lawsuits, Actos Recall

The Actos recall in Germany and the Actos recall in France came only after those nations were displeased by the link between Actos and bladder cancer, making an Actos recall a means of protecting their citizens.

But with no Actos recall in effect in America, Actos lawsuits are being filed instead. Indeed, a reported 10,000 claims have been made versus Takeda due to bladder cancer injuries caused by defective drug Actos.

Such Actos lawsuits maintain that not only did Takeda deliver a defective drug which can cause bladder cancer to Type 2 diabetes patients, but also obscured the fact that it could be dangerous. Thus, Takeda was able to make even more money while more patients suffered the deadly bladder cancer caused by its bad drug.

Actos Recall, Actos Lawsuits

Such trends make it clear that an Actos recall for America could come. But some added impetus may be needed to spur such an Actos recall, and that impetus is Actos lawsuits.

Successful Actos lawsuits could be a motivator to propel an Actos recall, either in the form of an FDA Actos recall or a manufacturer Actos recall. Then such Actos lawsuits not only could claim financial compensation for injured families, but also could help spare potential future victims of the defective drug from the same bladder cancer injury.

Actos Lawyer, Defective Drug Lawyer, Actos Recall

For your Actos lawsuit, notify our legal service and get a skilled, knowledgeable and experienced Actos lawyer or defective drug lawyer. Your Actos lawsuit can help your family recover economically, and it also could help serve as support for an eventual Actos recall.

You may have heard that it’s believed Actos can cause bladder cancer. But how do we know that the Type 2 diabetes medication can create such a serious medical problem? The answer, in a word, is research.

Such research has revealed that persons who use Actos for over one year have at least a 40 per cent greater chance — and perhaps a 50 per cent greater chance — of suffering bladder cancer as a result.

And who has done such research?

One source of such findings is a Kaiser Permanente Northern California (KPNC) study. It found a 40 per center greater risk of bladder cancer in those who were older than age 40 and also had used Actos for more than a year.

Consuming the drug for over a year means you have a higher cumulative dose of it. This higher dose, acquired over time, can produce harmful side effects such as bladder cancer.

Yet another study was conducted in France from 2006-2009. It found a “statistically significant correlation” between using Actos and suffering bladder cancer.

In fact, Actos no longer is sold in France as a result — or, more precisely, its chief active ingredient, pioglitazone, no longer is sold. And in neighboring Germany, physicians have been advised by health regulators not to give out any new Actos prescriptions.

But Actos remains readily available in the United States, and people are suffering as a result.

If someone close to you was diagnosed with bladder cancer after taking Actos for one year, alert a defective drug lawyer with our legal service. We can help the victim to seek financial recovery for bladder cancer losses, such as medical costs and pain and suffering, as well as wages that are lost into the future due to the injury.

A defective drug lawsuit can be pressed on victims’ behalf versus Takeda Pharmaceuticals, the giant Japanese corporation that’s responsible for unleashing Actos on an unsuspecting public.

To begin, simply alert us via this site’s free consultation form or by phoning 1-800-523-9933 on our toll-free line. You will find that we’ll quickly respond to assist you in assessing your potential Actos defective drug lawsuit over a bladder cancer injury.

If you took defective diabetes drug Actos for at least one year and now have bladder cancer, you may have a case for an Actos lawsuit against its negligent manufacturer. We say “may” in part because other factors can intervene.

For instance, if you smoke cigarettes, this can reduce your chances for a successful Actos lawsuit. And it’s not something about which you should lie, exaggerate or be evasive. It can be medically determined that you’ve smoked, so if you have a history of using tobacco products, own up to it.The problem with Actos side effects and smoking is that the latter clouds the issue — both literally and figuratively.

That’s because research indicates smokers have a heightened chance of getting bladder cancer, according to the NCI, or National Cancer Institute, in a report from the summer of 2011.

Too, women have an equal propensity to men for suffering bladder cancer due to smoking. That is, both sexes have a 50 per cent chance of getting bladder cancer from smoking as opposed to other factors.

So if you took Actos but also smoke, your bladder cancer could be blamed on the tobacco products you consumed rather than the Actos you took. And you can expect Actos’ manufacturer, Takeda Pharmaceuticals of Japan, to try blaming anyone but itself in a potentially costly bladder cancer lawsuit.

On the other hand, if your smoking has been minimal, or perhaps you haven’t smoked in many years, it may not have as much of an impact on your potential Actos lawsuit as regular, steady smoking that continues today. In short, there can be variables.

This is why it’s best to let a knowledgeable defective drug lawyer or Actos attorney help you to assess your prospects for legal action. And you can do this by signalling our attorney service of LawsuitActos.com and getting a free legal consultation.

To notify us of your situation, either submit our website’s free consultation form, displayed on this Web page, or call us by dialing our toll-free number of 1-800-523-9933.

If you aren’t a smoker, you may have a promising chance for a successful Actos lawsuit. But even if you have smoked, you still may have a potential lawsuit.

Let an experienced Actos lawyer or defective drug lawyer be the judge. Let us help guide you in legal actions taken on your behalf due to bladder cancer suffered after taking defective drug Actos.

From Oscar-winning actress Halle Berry to American Idol judge Randy Jackson, many celebrities are among the millions of Americans who suffer from Type 2 diabetes. Are you in that number too?

If so, you join ranks which also include singer Patti LaBelle, former CNN anchor Larry King, The View co-host Sherri Shepherd, actor Paul Sorvino, veteran TV host Dick Clark and celebrity chef Paula Deen, among many others.

Berry, for instance, was first diagnosed in 1989 when she fell into a diabetic coma for reportedly a week. But since then she’s learned to regulate her diet in order to fend off diabetes.

Jackson became ill with Type 2 diabetes in 1999 when he weighed more than 350 pounds, making him “morbidly obese.” Jackson began dieting and exercising in order to lose weight and now says he’s been monitoring his body’s insulin for five years without using medications.

Shepherd also embarked on a major weight-loss program after being diagnosed. Sorvino also has met the disease with diet and exercise. Clark suffered a stroke years after being diagnosed but has largely recovered.

All such celebs are among the estimated 25.8 million Americans who have Type 2 diabetes, a disease for which a number of treatments and medications also can be applied.

One such medication is Actos, a product of Japanese pharmaceutical giant Takeda.

Though Actos can be helpful in combating Type 2 diabetes, it’s also known to have serious Actos side effects. One such Actos side effect is bladder cancer. Actos users have a heightened risk of suffering from bladder cancer if they’ve taken the defective drug for one year or more.

If you have Type 2 diabetes and were prescribed Actos for at least one year, and then were diagnosed with bladder cancer, you may have a case for receiving substantial financial compensation for your Actos injury losses, including your medical expenses, your lost salary and your pain and suffering.

If you’ve taken Actos and aren’t sure if you have bladder cancer, be aware of some potential warning signs of bladder cancer’s onset in your body.

For instance, if you endure pains during urination, you may have bladder cancer. Another symptom is blood in your urine, or at least a reddish color in it. Too, if you experience needs to urinate unusually often, yet only in tiny amounts, this could be a sign of bladder cancer. Also, if you have back or abdominal pain, that could be a sign of bladder cancer.

But to know the facts, you must get your physician to diagnose your ailment and determine if you do, in fact, have bladder cancer.

If you do, and if you took Actos for your Type 2 diabetes for a year or more, alert a defective drug lawyer with our nationwide legal service of LawsuitActos.com. Then get the legal help you need toward gaining economic recovery for your defective drug injury losses.

You don’t have to be a celebrity in order to recover such damages for your bladder cancer injury due to defective drug Actos. We’ll be glad to help you with your case — but we need for you to reach out to us first.

Please call through our toll-free line of 1-800-523-9933 or write through our free online form. Then we’ll hurriedly reply to assist you with your case.

You have a legal right to claim damages for your defective drug Actos injury. We can help you to do so by means of a defective drug lawyer or Actos attorney provided for your state.

Defective diabetes drug Actos has a number of different Actos side effects, and among the worst is bladder cancer. Victims of bladder cancer who took Actos for a year or more should alert a defective drug attorney to explore an Actos lawsuit.

What are some of the other Actos side effects?

Some can be relatively mild compared to bladder cancer. These include fast weight gain, difficulty in breathing, reduced blood sugar, altered vision and sinus or upper respiratory infections (a cold), as well as headaches or muscle aches.

Those Actos side effects may not require seeing a physician, but a victim should use his or her own judgment.

Other defective drug Actos side effects may cause greater concern. For instance, if you experience stomach pain, vomiting, nausea, darkness in your urine, lack of appetite, yellowing of the skin or unnatural weariness, such symptoms may be a sign of liver problems as an Actos side effect. Clearly, a physician should be notified.

Still more Actos side effects can include allergic reactions. These can take the form of swelling of the lips, tongue, mouth or face, as well as hives, itching, difficulty in breathing and a rash on the skin. Such allergic reactions should be brought to the attention of your physician.

Other Actos side effects include harm to the heart, particularly if an Actos user already has a heart problem. Symptoms include rapid weight gain, weariness, difficulty in breathing and swelling of the feet or hands.

In fact, Actos side effects may involve a heart attack or heart failure.

But there may be a greater likelihood of Actos leading to bladder cancer. Research indicates that using Actos for one year raises a person’s risk of having bladder cancer by 40 per cent.

If someone in your family took Actos for at least one year and also suffers from bladder cancer, they should alert an experienced defective drug lawyer about their Actos side effects injury. Victims are legally entitled to financial compensation for their Actos side effects bladder cancer losses, including medical costs, lost wages and pain and suffering.

Notify LawsuitActos.com today and get an Actos lawsuit attorney for your state, either by calling 1-800-523-9933 or by submitting this site’s free consultation form. Then get the legal help you will need to recover financially from bladder cancer as an Actos side effects injury.

Veteran singer and entertainer Andy Williams revealed earlier this month that he has bladder cancer. Williams, 83, has been getting treatment and hopes to defeat the disease.

In October, Williams reportedly had tests and treatment in the state of Texas for bladder cancer.

Williams has long been a popular easy listening vocalist. He was particularly successful as a recording artist in the 1960s, with hits such as Can’t Get Used to Losing You, Dear Heart and his signature song, Henry Mancini and Johnny Mercer’s Moon River.

After performing in several films and hosting three summer series on TV, he then hosted his own ongoing TV variety series, The Andy Williams Show, from 1962-67 on NBC. At that time he was married to his first wife, French singer-actress Claudine Longet, who often appeared along with newcomers such as the Osmond Brothers.

Williams later headlined for many years at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas, for which he was the first performer in 1966. For the past 19 years he’s performed at his own Andy Williams Moon River Theater in Branson, Mo.

In fact, it was while on stage at the theater which he built that Williams announced to the world that he had bladder cancer.

Bladder cancer can have a number of causes, and one of them is the defective drug Actos. Taken by persons with Type 2 diabetes, Actos can increase a user’s risk of getting bladder cancer as an Actos side effect.

Williams is not known to have diabetes, though he is a supporter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Indeed, there’s been no indication that Williams himself has Type 2 diabetes or has taken Actos.

However, many Americans do take the defective drug, and it’s led to increased incidence of bladder cancer. Williams’ announcement served to draw added attention to the disease.

If you or a loved one has bladder cancer and took Actos for one year or more, you may be eligible for substantial financial compensation via an Actos lawsuit.

Actos’ manufacturer, Japan’s Takeda, is responsible for injuries inflicted by harmful Actos side effects and should pay for victims’ medical expenses, lost salary and pain and suffering caused by its defective drug when it leads to bladder cancer.

If you have Type 2 diabetes and took the diabetes drug Actos, and if you then were diagnosed with bladder cancer, you may be wondering if Actos caused that cancer or if other things heightened your risk.

First, you should know that you’d probably have to have taken Actos in 30 mg doses for at least one year for the cumulative doses to cause bladder cancer. If you’d taken Actos for less than one year, you’d have had less risk.

Next, you should know that smoking can play a part in getting bladder cancer. But that doesn’t mean Actos can’t or won’t cause bladder cancer for someone who also smokes, or smoked.

If you quite smoking at least four months before a bladder cancer diagnosis, but continued to take Actos, that may contribute to finding blame in Actos more than smoking. It also helps your Actos case if you quit smoking before you quit taking Actos, or if you still take Actos after you stopped smoking.

Other factors besides smoking which could work against your Actos case are having a family history of bladder cancer; a personal history of cancer, notably prostate cancer; and exposure to certain chemicals in an industrial occupation.

These and other factors can complicate a case against Actos’ manufacturer, Takeda of Japan. However, if you took Actos and had not been a smoker and had no family history of cancer, you may have a substantial case for an Actos defective drug lawsuit.

If you took Actos for one year and have been diagnosed with bladder cancer, alert our defective drug attorneys at LawsuitActos.com immediately.

We can provide you with an Actos lawyer or attorney for your state who has the knowledge and experience to seek financial compensation for your Actos injury losses, including but not limited to pain and suffering, medical expenses and lost present and future wages.

Simply call 1-800-523-9933 or send us the free case review form we’ve provided for you and we’ll respond to you as quickly as possible to help you size up your Actos lawsuit prospects. You may be legally entitled to significant financial compensation for your Actos bladder cancer injury.

November is American Diabetes Month, when Americans have tried to raise awareness of diabetes. Here are some of the numbers, as provided by the American Diabetes Association and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention:

An American is diagnosed with diabetes, on average, every 17 seconds.

More Americans die due to diabetes annually than from AIDS and breast cancer combined.

An estimated 26 million persons in America have diabetes, and an additional 79 million have a high risk to develop the most common form of diabetes, Type 2 diabetes. Indeed, some believe that one third of all American adults will be suffering from diabetes in the year 2050 unless measures are taken to reverse this trend.

For those who already have Type 2 diabetes, a common treatment is to take a drug such as Actos. Yet Actos, while helping patients with diabetes, can at the same time cause great harm. That’s because Actos is known to produce a devastating Actos side effect, and that side effect is bladder cancer.

When an American suffers bladder cancer after taking Actos for one year or more, it’s likely that Actos was the cause. Indeed, Actos is known to produce up to a 40 per cent greater risk of suffering bladder cancer as a result of taking the defective drug.

However, if a person smokes, then bladder cancer may be attributed to smoking. Actos is more likely to be the cause of bladder cancer when the victim does not have a smoking history.

In the tragic event that someone in your family suffers bladder cancer after having taken Actos for one year or more, you owe it to yourself and your family to notify the national attorney service of LawsuitActos.com.

Let us know what problems you face, and let us then help you meet them with the proper legal remedies. We can provide you with a defective drug lawyer or Actos attorney for your state who can fight for your legal right to fair financial compensation for your Actos side effect losses due to badder cancer.

To begin, simply submit this site’s free consultation form, which you’ll find above, or call us at 1-800-523-9933. We’ll do our best to help you as soon as possible to explore your legal options regarding an Actos bladder cancer injury.

And you needn’t be concerned about paying us, since your Actos lawyer only will be paid if your case prevails, and then only as a part of your Actos lawsuit settlement.

Why delay? Act today, and launch the process of gaining justice — and economic recovery — after an Actos bladder cancer injury with a timely Actos lawsuit in your behalf.

If you suffer from bladder cancer after taking Type 2 diabetes drug Actos, you may know that Actos has been deemed worthy of what’s known as a “black box warning.” But just what is such a warning?

Such warnings are requested of manufacturers by the Food and Drug Administration, or FDA, an arm of the federal government. These warnings are placed on the packaging of drugs which are known for or are suspected of causing potential harm to some if not all users.

Black box warnings on a prescription drug’s packaging normally warn physicians or patients that the drug may cause harmful side effects. These warnings are known as “black box” warnings because they typically are enclosed within a bold black border.

This black border is designed to draw special attention to the warning. By now, many consumers are aware of the significance of a black box warning, so the black box in itself conveys some sense of the warning’s urgency or importance.

A black box warning does not mean that anyone who uses such a drug may experience harmful side effects. But it does alert potential users or prescribers of potential harmful side effects.

The black box warning is known as the most extreme warning that a drug can get on its packaging without being recalled from the market. Thus, a black box warning is meant to be taken seriously, and to alert those who might prescribe or use the drug to its potential dangers.

The FDA first mandated that Actos should carry a black box warning in June of 2007. The FDA cannot dictate such a warning, which is then negotiated with the pharmaceutical company.

However, this process can take years — and that’s happening with Actos. Its maker, Takeda, promises to accede to the FDA’s request before its patent for Actos expires in 2012. But that doesn’t leave much time.

In the meantime, the only thing the FDA has done is to indicate its desire for a black box warning and to tell health care professionals that they should inform patients of the potential risk-benefit balance concerning Actos.

Thus, in effect Actos is a drug meriting a black box warning, but that warning does not yet exist on its packaging. Meanwhile, Actos continues to be prescribed and sold in the United states.

In France and Germany, no Actos warning is given, because none is needed. Why? Because those countries have suspended all sales of Actos due to its health risks.

For now, only a request for an Actos black box warning is in effect in the U.S. The FDA continues to review defective drug Actos, and it continues to request a warning against use of Actos for more than a year, which could create cumulative doses that can cause bladder cancer risks.

With such inadequate measures to warn potential users of Actos’ potential dangers, many people may be using Actos despite its health risks.

If you used Actos and now have a bladder cancer injury, you should alert LawsuitActos.com and let us go to work for you. An Actos lawsuit could help you get the financial compensation you deserve for your Actos bladder cancer injury.

Alabama, the “Heart of Dixie,” is a Southern state that’s home to 4.8 million people, making it the 23rd most populous of America’s 50 states.

Though Alabama long was known for agriculture, it has diversified its economy since the 1960s. For one thing, it has become home to the George C. Marshall Space Flight Center, a NASA research center for civilian rocketry found near Huntsville.

Huntsville is home to 180,000 people, surpassed only by the Alabama cities of Mobile, Montgomery and Birmingham, the largest, with over 212,000 residents.

Like many Americans elsewhere, citizens of Alabama can be afflicted with the most common form of diabetes, Type 2 diabetes. To treat this condition, their physician may prescribe a diabetes drug to help control the levels of their body’s glucose.

One such drug is Actos, a pharmaceutical product of Japan’s Takeda. Though this diabetes drug may have benefits in treating diabetes, it also can produce extremely harmful if not dangerous Actos side effects, notably bladder cancer.

In the sad event that you or an Alabama relative has bladder cancer subsequent to taking Actos, then you may need legal representation to get financial compensation. And for that, you can alert LawsuitActos.com.

We’ll provide you or an Alabama Actos bladder cancer victim who’s close to you with a defective drug lawyer to press your case for economic recovery. And we’ll be paid only if we win your case, and then only from a portion of the settlement.

That means you can contact us with confidence. And to contact us, you need only submit this page’s free consultation form online, or dial our toll-free number of 1-800-523-9933.

Then let us do the work — for you. You and your Alabama family deserve nothing less.
